How does Getir make money?

According to Getir, Getir has more than 3.5 million monthly active users using its delivery service. So how does Getir make money off of all these users?

Below is a breakdown of how much money Getir makes and its revenue model. Including all revenue streams and how much they charge for their services.

Here are the 2 ways of how Getir makes money in 2022

Getir has a revenue model that makes money in two (2) ways; by marking up the cost of goods sold and through delivery fees.

#1. Marking up the cost of goods sold

Getir makes most of its money by marking up whatever goods a customer orders through them to deliver.

How does Getir make money by marking up the cost of goods sold? Getir makes money doing this by purchasing goods directly through wholesale suppliers and then adding a 10% markup to everything purchased on Getir.

For example, if a customer orders a gallon of milk that costs $4.40 in-store, Getir will add $0.44 (10% markup) to the total charge. Costing the customer $4.84 for the gallon of milk – while Getir pockets the $0.44.

#2. Delivery fees

In addition to markups, Getir also makes money by charging delivery fees.

On each delivery, Getir charges customers a flat fee that varies based on where they live and the total cost of the order. For example, in the U.S., it’s $1.95 per delivery plus additional fees on orders under $10. But in the U.K., it’s £1.99.
